childhood dreams

Dreamer
Childhood dreams do come true.  Never mind that I'm way beyond childhood.  As a child, I so badly wanted my own horse.  I took riding lessons, but our family did not have the extra money to purchase or maintain a horse.  In college, I got a job on a horse farm.  I could ride as often as I found time as long as the chores got done on time.  It really was a great job; even on the bitter cold Minnesota winter mornings.  After college, life just rolled along and the dream of horse ownership lay dormant for many, many years.  Never dead, but still and quiet.
Phantom
Last week, the dream of horse ownership became reality.  Not just one, but two horses.  Two wonderful, beautiful, sweet, and gentle horses.  Dreamer and Phantom joined our family on July 2, 2013.  Without the work of my tireless husband, this would not have happended.  Blessed and overjoyed.  I haven't decided who is more happy...the kids or me.
